Val + Brett's Rehearsal Dinner - Palm Springs, CA

Thursday, April 30, 2009

Whoops, I got this ready faster than expected! Enjoy these photos from Val + Brett's rehearsal dinner in Palm Springs, just a warm up for their wedding...

Both Val + Brett have acting backgrounds, so they staged a surprise performance for their guests...

...and it was a success!

Trying out the Holga

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

This was taken at Brett and Val's wedding a few weeks ago in Palm Springs, CA. I'm giving the Holga a try. It's a toy camera and the thing I love about it is that you never know what you're gonna get.

I'm back! + NY Magazine

Friday, April 17, 2009

Wow, it's weird to be back in the US after almost 4 months traveling and photographing in Thailand. But I can't think of a better way to have transitioned back into the swing of things. After a couple of days in LA with my best friend, I'm now in Palm Springs, CA, for Valerie + Brett's wedding. It is BEAUTIFUL here and this wedding is going to be incredible.

And I came back to some more good news, Yuli + Keith's Wedding (which never ceases to amaze me in how much continual press it gets) was just published as the first feature in New York Magazine's Summer Wedding edition. This was the first time I ever submitted to a magazine, and NY Mag is a great way to start. I've only been back here for a few days and haven't even seen a print version yet but I'm going to post it as soon as I make a scan. In the meantime, go pick up a copy!
