... see you soon

Sunday, January 11, 2009

I'm going to disappear for the next few weeks (if not months!), so I apologize if you don't see any updates on this blog for a while... so far Thailand has been incredible... the people are as warm and generous as I remember, and it only seems to get better as I get further and further from the big cities. Can't wait to share the photos with you all soon.

Behind the Scenes on POWD

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

So I knew this was going to happen. I've been in Thailand for about a week now and now that the holiday season has passed it seems that the engaged couples of the world have resumed there search for wedding vendors... all of the sudden the emails begin flooding in and needless to say it's difficult for me to inspire confidence in a potential client when I'm 10,000 miles away and can't have an in-person meeting!

So when Josie from PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com asked me if I would be willing to do a guest post on her blog about my photos, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to give a little bit of insight into the "behind-the-scenes" of my style and approach to weddings. A lot of what I wrote about are the types of things I discuss during consultation meetings, so I urge anyone interested in my photos to check out the full post here. I picked six of my favorite photos and talked a little about why I like each... whether it was the moment, the environment, the light, or most importantly the couple themselves. Of course this doesn't substitute for getting to know the idiosyncrasies of my personality and work in person, but hopefully it gives some of you a better idea of what is going on in my head!

...kind words from Style Me Pretty

It's always nice when you stumble upon some unexpected praise out there in the blogosphere, especially when it comes from one of the best weddings blogs out there, Style Me Pretty. Abby was nice enough to mention me and post a few of my photos from Phil + Angela's Wedding in her "Found Inspirations". Click here for the full post!
