Sara + Efrain's Wedding

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Sara + Efrain's wedding was on the auspicious day of 8/8/08! Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Church of the Ascension on the Upper West Side. In Asia, the day of 8/8/08 is supposed to bring good luck for the future, and I'm sure it will for Sara + Efrain. Despite the crazy Friday afternoon, NYC traffic that we all had to battle with, they stayed calm and patient and left some time for a few fun portraits in the Madison Square Park Area.

Sara's beautiful hair and make-up were done by Jenn Salazar (hair), and BP Carmouche (make-up).

Reese + Michael

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

So Ben and I are driving up to New Haven, CT, on a beautiful June morning to photograph Reese + Michael's wedding at Yale University. About 10 miles after we get on route 95 we hear a big 'POP', and sure enough, we had a flat tire. In the 8 years that I've owned this car, I have never had a flat tire. Perfect timing. It didn't help that it was about 95 degrees and we were both dressed in all black with neckties on! Luckily, after about 20 min. at a rest stop we were back on the road, and weren't even late! Here's a few pics of us at work:

Besides this minor delay in our travels, Reese + Michael's wedding went as smooth as possible. It was so refreshing to get out of New York City for a day and photograph in a place with beautiful architecture, countless archways, and picturesque courtyards. Reese + Michael both graduated from Yale, so their love for the setting was clear and I think it really shows in their pictures. Check out some of my favorites below:

Kathryn + Ben Engaged

Kathryn + Ben are getting married in mid-November in New York City, and we're excited to be photographing their wedding. Here's a few pictures from an engagement portrait shoot we did in Central Park a few weeks ago.

Jess + Tim's Wedding

Monday, August 4, 2008

Jess + Tim's wedding took place at Battery Gardens Restaurant. They were fun, quirky, and willing to try anything, which is what makes my job easy! I think their personalities really come out in the photos.

We started out in Park Slope, and took pictures as Peter from FilmCars drove us around Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. The light and weather turned out beautiful for the ceremony, take a look at some of my favorites below:
